"It was in France that Olivier Cadi, founder of technology events agency CORP – AGENCY, decided to bring a new conference to Toronto in the fall of 2017, adding to their previous successful years in Paris. "In October, Jon’s fellow enthusiasts at the Victoria EV Association hosted a launch party where he officially dipped his tires in the Pacific Ocean. The next day, Jon and his mom, Diane, set out on their first cross-Canada road trip in an electric pickup truck. They took the Swartz Bay Ferry to Tsawwassen on the BC mainland, and they were on their way across Canada."

By staying connected to the community of early electric vehicle adopters, I caught this story as it was happening. I interviewed Jon and Diane to write about their cross-Canada EV road trip experience.
